Slide Milling for 1911 and 2011 Slides to Accept the Atlas Gunworks Optic Plate System
This is a MACHINING SERVICE ONLY to cut your existing 1911 or 2011 slide to accept the Atlas Gunworks AOS Optic Plate System. This service will work with MOST 70-SERIES 1911-style slides that have existing rear dovetail cuts. The rear of your slide will be CNC milled to accept the Atlas Gunworks Optic Plate System. Optics plates are optional, as inventory is available, for an additional charge. Refinishing is also available for an additional charge, but requires that the slide be completely stripped, including removing front sight (if dovetail).

We precision machining the slide to fit the Atlas Gunworks Optic Plate System and threadmill the 5-40 threads for maximum thread engagement. Each slide is test-fit with OEM Atlas Optics plates and factory screws.
Includes: CNC machining of your 70-SERIES 1911 or 2011 slide for the Atlas Optics System plate. Fit check. Lead time can be up to 6 weeks, but is often less. Coating will add additional lead time.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the differences between the Atlas Flat Top slides and standard "Colt" 1911 slide geometry, the Atlas plates will not fill the slide radius. Flat top milling is highly recommended for a finished look. Additionally, any differences in slide contours will be left as-is and the customer will be responsible for any blending or additional fitting. Optic cut slides will require a flat top firing pin stop.
We will reply to your order confirmation with shipping instructions for sending in your slide. Only your slide is required for this service. It is not necessary to ship the complete firearm. We are a licensed firearms manufacturer with valid FFL and storefront location in Oak Ridge, TN.
THIS SERVICE WILL NOT WORK WITH: 80-SERIES 1911 slides, SIG Sauer 1911 slides, 22 Caliber Slides, Slides with existing optic cuts. Bomar, LPA-style rear sights or Novak-style rear sight is not recommended (locating posts will be 1/2 height, SEE IMAGES ABOVE).
Shipping charges cover return shipping only, signature is required upon return. When shipping please strip slide completely, if possible (front and rear sights can remain). Disassembly charges will apply. DO NOT include cases, manuals, optics, etc. unless specifically necessary for other services.
OPTIC, PLATE OR SCREWS ARE NOT INCLUDED (unless specifically selected).
